The process of staging your home prior to selling is never easy. Not only are you about to move, which on its own is stressful and often chaotic, but you are also trying to make your home look its best in order to attract a large number of potential buyers.


This is a process where an emotionally unattached professional with an objective eye and the knowledge of “what buyers want” can be of tremendous help. Sometimes it might only be necessary to replace a carpet and fix up walls and trim. You may need to rent furniture. It all depends on how much this improvement will benefit you in your ultimate goal: selling quickly for the most money. And the available time you have to do so.


We need an honest answer for the following question: Is it worth it? I recommend consulting with your Realtor, who best knows the specific market, to avoid overspending. Often, your realtor is the one suggesting an interior designer to help with these tasks. If the answer is “Absolutely!”, then go for it.
